Christmas Detective Story
For John and his family it
was a normal Christmas, everything was at its place and anyone
could foresee that would happen.
In fact, as in the
tradition, all the family met to celebrate Christmas.
As usual, John was helping
is mother to prepare the great dinner, while his father was
finishing to put the last Christmas ornaments around the home,
when, from the living room, they heard a strange noise. So all the
guests went there and saw the grandfather on the floor with a
bloodstain.
Immediately John’s father
called the police and an ambulance.
After only three minutes the
rescues arrived. All the guests had to go to the nearest police
station.
But John, who is a clever
boy, had noticed that when the fact happened all the guests were in
the kitchen except Mary, his aunt. But how could a daughter do that
to her father?
So, the young boy, started a
personal investigation.
Immediately
he found another piece of information by listening to the
conversation between the detective and his collaborators. So he
could understand that his grandfather was hit on the head with a
bowling trophy.
After the aggression, while
he was walking, he found a foot-mark. So he thought of checking all
the shoes at home for controlling the size ad the shape, but none
corresponded to it, because this foot-mark was very big.
At the light of this new
information he removed his aunt from the suspects’ list because she
had a very small foot.
In these days his
grandfather had lost his memory because of the big shock and
couldn’t help the investigation.
On the 25th December John, after a party with his friends, was coming back home
when a man with a balaclava attacked him. He menaced John with death
because he knew that John had some clues.
So John went to the police
and said all that he knew.
After only three hours his
grandfather, who had recovered the memory thanks to the help of his
wife, testified that his aggressor was an old friend of his that he
had beaten in the final of a bowling
cup, where the prize was
50,000 $.
So immediately the police
arrested him and controlled the size of his foot that perfectly
corresponded to the foot-mark.
So John and his family could
continue the celebration of Christmas in peace.
