A cold evening

It was a dark winter evening I laid on my little madrass in my big brothers room. I was afraid of the thunder. Suddenly came a giant lightning very close to the house and gave echoes in the windows. Shortly after the phone rang. I saw my mum take it and 20 seconds after she was all white in the head. her sight was more cold than I ever had seen it. She was terified when she took my father in to the kitchen, they closed the door. It didnt take long before they were out again, they had to go fast. they said to me and my brother that they just had to to get something by

the neighboor but I knew it was a lie. I heard the car start in the entrance. I was in the kitchen and then my father drove away faster than I had ever seen before. My big brother and I used the situation to see a video even though the clock was over 10. we were soon happy and had forgotten all about our parents' rapid disappearance. Until at 10.30 we had already fallen asleep in front of the television, when the phone rang I had a strange feeling, when my big brother went out to take it. I stood by the phone and could hear my mother's panic voice: "We are on the way to the hospital in an ambulance and it will be late." Jonas (my big brother) asked what had happened, and we were told that Poul erik one of our best friends had colapsed.

We went back in to see our films but it didnt take more than a half hour before they rang again: once again we heard our mother's voice it was more creepy than I ever had heard it. she said that Poul-Erik was unconscious. we went back in and started our movie we both fell asleep again.  then the phone rang for the third time. This time, I had a strange feeling of emptiness inside and my big brother suddenly broke into tears when he heard my mother all calm, and she said Poul-Erik wouldn't return.
