Broken World

Rubble, corpses, anger, fire…are all that she can see. Guns, fires, moans and screams …are all that she can hear. She is drowned by the misery around her and is disorientated by the foul stench of rotting corpses in the air. As she walks, dying people are pleading to be killed, as they cannot stand the pain any longer. She sees no living people around, but monsters that have killed the world. No joy or happiness can be found in any corner. Everyday seems like forever to her, history has repeated itself. The war had been going on for ages, for years. It seemed impossible for the war to ever stop; all humanity was lost in anger and hatred.

Everyday she seeks to find her family. Everyday she hopes to see a face of her loved ones again. Was she ever to see them? She was alone. She knew that she was alone, but she would never admit the truth to herself. So she kept on walking.

Everyday was the same. Nothing would ever change. There was no peace in this world anymore. She prays for a new day…praying that peace would return.
