FAMILY
Family… there is
nothing better than it…My grandmother once told me a story…
It was about a mother and a son….
Her son was named
David. When her son was 10 years old, he was embarrassed at
his mom for taking him to school. She only had one eye. When
he was 13, he didn’t want anything to do with his mom… When
he was 18, he went out drinking and never even told his mom.
He just walked out the door never looking back… When he was
19 and got a scholarship and was to fly to America, he
didn’t even call his mom to ask if she was ok. He was
totally embarrassed by her… David got married when he was
24…He didn’t ask his mom if she was lonely and wanted to
stay in his house… His mom called him one day and asked if
he wanted to have dinner at her house that night as it was
Christmas Eve. He just said “Mom… I have my own family to
worry about.” One day, she died. David did not cry or feel a
little sad, but he did find a letter. It said this. “My dear
son. You, your father and I were involved in a car accident
21 years ago. I did not have a scratch on me. Your father
died and you lost one eye. To replace it, I gave mine to
you. I am sorry for embarrassing you, but what could I do. I
wanted you to have the best! A family, children and a long
happy life. I am sorry.” With that, all David could do was
cry…
As my grandmother
ended it, I knew that nothing was better than family and I
had to treat my dad and mom nicely and kindly. Appreciate
them for giving me life…
