Evaluation of the activities

An evaluation sheet was created and each participant had to fill it in before the project concluded. The first section concerned the activities during the week and the rating was on a scale of 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). There was also space for personal comments for each activity. All the participants and teachers filled in the grades but few added more comments. The bar charts here show clearly that all the activities were enjoyed, especially the 'hands-on' ones. A few items which had the participants witnessing school events as onlookers were not as popular. However, taking everything into account, the programme was well received and enjoyed.

The second section concerned the home stay experience. This concept makes the conference a unique one and is an integral part of the project. The guests were asked general questions about their host families and the hosts were also asked to give their general comments about how it felt like to be a host. Many responses were short and sweet but there were some who said more and these comments can be read on the personal comments page.

Participants rated each activity on a scale of 1 (poor) to 5 (excellent). The first bar chart below shows how each activity was rated, and the second shows the average rating for each activity.
