Outstanding Strategic Initiative – Shortlisted BISA Awards 2018
Garden International School “Garden International School (GIS) has been shortlisted for the British International School Awards 2018 in the Outstanding Strategic Initiative category.
The Outstanding Strategic Initiative award nomination is a recognition of GIS’s initiative in fostering an environment of reflective and collaborative learning in the school community. GIS aims to become a key hub for continuing professional learning in Southeast Asia. Much effort has been made towards enhancing professional learning provisions across the teaching staff.
Apple Distinguished School
Garden International School has been recognised as an Apple Distinguished School for 2017–2019. Garden International School (GIS) has been shortlisted for the British International School Initiative of the Year category of the TES Independent School Awards 2016. The British International School Initiative of the Year nomination is a recognition of GIS outstanding strategic achievement through the unique and innovative Large-Scale Enquiry Programme. GIS is the only school in South East Asia to get shortlisted for this prestigious award which is a solid testament of the implementation and integration of a strong component of ethical world-changing education in the traditional curriculum.
Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM)
Garden International School (GIS) is awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) in recognition of its quality of teaching and learning in science. Led by the University of Hertfordshire School of Education in partnership with the Primary Science Teaching Trust, PSQM is supported by the Royal Society for Chemistry, the Ogden Trust and the Association for Science Education. The PSQM scheme enables schools to work together to share good practice and is supported by professional development led by local experts. It encourages teacher autonomy and innovation while at the same time offering a clear framework for development in science subject leadership, teaching and learning.

Garden International School (GIS) is in its 8th year of accreditation with the Council of International Schools (CIS). GIS selected CIS as its preferred accreditation body because we view CIS as the strongest accreditation body available to international schools. Accreditation with CIS both endorses and insures the quality of education provided by GIS while supporting our development and improvement planning process.
GIS is a member of several prominent international education groups. We are part of the Schools Division of the Taylor’s Education Group and a member of FOBISIA.
