Anna Goh, Year 4 Leader – GIS Spotlight | Blog

What is your happy space?
Surprisingly, my happy space is my classroom or relaxing at home or on a beautiful island.

Tell us a less-known fact about you.
When I was younger, I wanted to be an ice dancer.

What is your favourite activity/project at GIS?
My favourite project so far has been Drop and Go, a recycling campaign led by the student leaders.

How and why did you get into the teaching profession?
I have wanted to be a teacher since I was 8 years old. I remember helping my cousin learn to read. From that moment my dream was to be a teacher. Every day I get to do my dream job. How amazing is that.

I wish…I could learn a new language.

What is the greatest thing of being a teacher?
The greatest thing being a teacher is that each day I have the privilege of being part of the student’s lives and their learning. I love seeing their joy when they have learnt something new.

Describe GIS in three words.
Innovative, energetic, reflective.
