Tell us about your passion.
I love Biology. Biology is literally the study of life and I think it is the most interesting thing ever!! I also enjoy playing Netball and Touch Rugby as part of the school team. I love to challenge myself and these two things always push me to my limits – there’s always room for improvement!
What is the best part of studying in GIS?
There is a strong sense of community in GIS where you feel like you belong. The teachers are always so supportive and ready to help making the well being of students a priority and even the student body is so supportive of each other, always pushing each other to their limits and encouraging each other to go out of their comfort zones.
What does GIS offer to bring out the best in you?
GIS offers such a variety of programmes for all ages; there is always something for everyone. There’re sports, arts, debating, creative writing, community service and the list just keeps going on! Even academically, GIS offers a range of subjects for students to choose from.
Share with us your biggest/proudest achievement in life so far.
In my opinion, my proudest achievement is just who I am today. I always try to do things outside my comfort zone, take up any opportunities I can and always thrive to become a better me. I think that in itself is an achievement!!
What makes you happy?
Being able to spend time doing what I love whether that be out playing sports, reading an article about viruses and autoimmune diseases or just spending time with friends and family!
Describe GIS in three words.
Supportive, Diverse and Engaging.
What do you aspire to be when you grow up?
In university, I hope to do a course in Biotechnology and right now I honestly don’t know a 100% what career path to follow but I hope it’s something to do with Biology and working with other people!
