Human, Digital, Constructed and Natural World
In the Large Scale Enquiry, students are required to choose their own pathways. If they are interested in Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths, they can choose the STEM pathway. If they prefer to explore the movement in Arts, they can choose the Arts pathway. Students were introduced to the key themes of the enquiry using iTunes U and and a pre-enquiry task built in Tacck. This gave them some foundational understanding in what was meant by STEM and the Arts as well as an introduction to the four movement worlds: Human, Digital, Constructed and Natural World.
For the 2017 “Movement” enquiry we decided to try and document the journey of some of our students and teachers on film. The goal was to give a true picture of what the process was like.
In order to expose students to the problems solving process, they were asked to tackle 4 challenges. For each one, they were required to follow a PLAN – DO – REVIEW – AMEND – SHARE process. The videos below each describes the PLAN, DO, REVIEW & AMEND and SHARE process respectively. Coupled with the photo story below the film should give a good insight into some of the learning that has taken place, both for our teachers and our students.
