This Is GIS Term 2 & 3 | Principal’s Message

Dear All

Welcome to June-December 2017 GIS newsletter. What a few months it has been!
There have been too many achievements to list in the few words I have, but hopefully this newsletter will give you a flavour of some of them.

We have become an Apple Distinguished School, our examination results were the best ever and we are sending students off to the best universities in the world. We have put over a 100 sports teams out this year, competing in over 14 different sports. Our CCA programme is more popular than ever with over 200 CCAs on offer each term and the majority of our students participating in at least one CCA. For me, one of the most impressive aspects of GIS, is our commitment to helping people who are less fortunate than ourselves. Both our students and staff have a strong sense of social conscience and are regularly involved in supporting well deserved causes, such as Street Feeding, Street Store, Make a Wish, Lotus House Orphanage, and Refugee support programmes.

GIS is a very active school, but at the end of each academic year students, staff and parents can look back with pride on what has been achieved. Our students are now on their well deserved summer break and we look forward to another very engaged year, starting in August.
