Rewarding, Exposure, International: this is what GIS is for Shaun who is heading to Imperial College London. Find out how GIS brings out the best in him...

For Shaun, GIS Year 13, 2017 cohort, the three words to describe GIS are “Rewarding, Exposure and International”.
Shaun will be going to Imperial College London after completion of his A-Level at GIS.
Check out the video below to find out more about how Garden International School brings out the best in him and what “We Are GIS” means to him.

“Hi I’m Sean. I’m in year 13. I’ve been in this school for eight years and I was offered to study at Imperial College London”.

What is your best part of studying in Garden International School?
The best part of studying in GIS would have to be the Opportunities. There are so many things you can get involved in in GIS that if you just take the time to seek these things out you’ll definitely get rewarded for all your efforts. For me personally I’m involved in the international award, Dragons the sports teams and a lot of
community service around school so things like on the street store, street reading, Christmas refugee sports day.

Describe how Garden International School teachers have supported your learning.
GIS Teachers have been really great. All the teachers that I’ve had are the best people they’re all really passionate what they do and how they teach they tend to teach in a way where it’s not just telling you how things are but more helping you discover things. So that’s really nice because every time in like lessons they always come up with new ways to teach something or new ways something really interesting and yeah they’re just really really good teachers

What three words would you use to describe the school?
My three words to describe GIS would be rewarding exposure and international.

What does “we are GIS” mean to you?
“We are GIS” means a good community with many active and accepting people.
