Tell us about your experience and what you have learned in this particular project, The Big Read fundraising event.
For The Big Read 2017, we were challenged by Mrs Sheldon in the library to read as much as we could. We then asked our family and friends for sponsorship money. Between the four of us, we read over 50 books in 5 weeks and raised over RM9,000. The whole event raised over RM50,000! What we learned, especially visiting the JREC school, was the power we have to really make a difference to the lives of others.

Tell us about your favourite activity/project at GIS.
Raising money to help others is a great feeling. It’s even better when you actually get to see the difference with your own eyes!
