As one year draws to the end and another unfolds, with Christmas behind us and the Lunar New Year on the horizon, it is the time of year for making special memories with friends and family, for reflecting on the year that has passed, and for planning ahead for the future.

The festivities also mark a time for giving and if you are a parent, you undoubtedly want the best for your children. No matter how different our culture or festivities, all would agree that one of the greatest gifts we can afford our children is the gift of education – and a lifelong love of learning.

So, why not give them the best gift possible this year – that of a world-class education?

The well-rounded education offered by Garden International School – one grounded in nearly 70 years of academic heritage, – will ensure that your children can take their place amongst tomorrow’s future leaders. Indeed, here at GIS, we believe in creating future leaders who will have a positive impact on tomorrow’s world, and help make a real difference to our community.

Our track record of academic excellence, outstanding co-curricular and sporting programmes, outdoor education offerings and unique student leadership opportunities ensures that every child – no matter their talents or passions – can shine.

Just take a look at some of our 2019 successes and you’ll see what we mean. From our unbroken track record of wins at the KL Coding Cup competitions, to our success with F1 in Schools (our very own Team Velocitas reached the World Finals in Abu Dhabi) to GIS’ regular medal hauls at mathematics competitions, our students regularly shine amongst the world’s best. On the stage, our Secondary students recently sang and danced their hearts out in a very professional production of The Little Mermaid, while our Primary students took us down the rabbit hole with a brilliant production and musical interpretation of Alice in Wonderland.

In 2019, we also welcomed our new Principal Mr Robert Stitch, and were successfully re-accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS), reflecting the fact that GIS is offering a world-class education of the highest standard.

We are excited about the New Year ahead, and hope that yours will be just as busy, happy and inspiring as ours here at Garden International School.

Best wishes for this new year and decade ahead, from all of us in the GIS community! The chapter is yours.
