Physical Education at Garden International School
The PE faculty at GIS takes great pride in the excellent PE facilities and its devoted team of outstanding teachers, who year by year devise curricula providing every student with the opportunity to experience a breadth of sports allowing them to enhance a wide range of skills. Integral to the Physical Education curriculum is the development of key learner skills and attitudes, which will enable every student to follow active and healthy lifestyles into adulthood.
Lessons will not only focus on physical development, but also challenge students’ decision making skills, tactical understanding and will encourage them to develop leadership skills through coaching and officiating roles. All of these skills and qualities are intended to shape students into resilient, collaborative and adaptive leaders in the future, and for some it will also provide the basis for successful future sports careers.
