Beyond The Classroom
At Garden International School, we believe that the curriculum encompasses the total learning experiences of the students, both inside and outside of the classroom. As well as our learning in the class (taught curriculum) our school also offers extensive ‘wider curriculum’ opportunities for student learning beyond the classroom including the co-curricular activities (CCA) programme, the camps and trips programme, Sports and Arts.

Co-Curricular Activities (CCA)
GIS offers a broad, diverse range of CCAs for students aged 3-18 years. With over 150 different options available, there really is something to bring out the best in every child.
Sports at GIS
At GIS we believe that sporting activity, both as part of a team and as an individual, is important for all aspects of character development and also provides the foundations for a healthy life.
Student Leadership
Our extensive Student Leadership programme allows students to develop their leadership skills, by collaborating to continuously develop aspects of school life.
Camps and Trips and International Awards
Our students have plentiful opportunities to explore life beyond Kuala Lumpur, with an exciting range of camps and trips offered across their time at GIS.
Language Clubs
We are proud of the vast number of languages spoken at GIS. Our language clubs offer the opportunity for our students to develop their language skills, as just one way that we prepare them for the world beyond GIS!
Service Learning
Service Learning is an important part of our work at GIS. We work strategically to support our five ‘core charities’, whilst ensuring that our students learn about the significance of their service in the process.
Music, Drama, and Arts
At GIS, we have a strong tradition of excellence across Music, Art and Drama. Each year, both our Primary and Sixth Form departments put on spectacular shows, with an array of talent displayed by our young performers.
