Garden International School’s consistently outstanding academic results place us amongst the best British international schools in the world. Year after year, our students surpass themselves and achieve some of the highest-scoring A Level and IGCSE results in the region. This year, all of our examinations were externally assessed, making our results even more impressive following two years of disruption. We are exceptionally proud of what our students have achieved in 2022; it is a true testament to their diligence and perseverance, as well as the unwavering support and hard work of our teachers.
A Level (Year 13)
In 2022, we celebrate yet another stunning set of A Level results, with 85 A Level students graduating from our Sixth Form having sat exams across 25 subjects with a 100% pass rate. 80% of grades were awarded A*/A (55% of the 282 grades awarded were A*), with a tremendous 68% of our students achieving at least 3 A*/A across their A Level subjects.
AS Level (Year 12)
Equally, our Year 12 students can be extremely proud of their resilience and outstanding results from the exams that they sat this year where 64% of our cohort achieved 3A*/A & above. We are now in an incredibly advantageous position whereby our students, who have sat modular A level courses, now have actual AS level qualifications to strengthen their university applications.
IGCSE (Year 11)
This year, we had 126 dedicated students sit exams across 30 subjects with an outstanding 100% pass rate. Of 1,191 grades awarded, an incredible 74% were graded A/A*! What’s more, 61 of the 126 students (48%) achieved 9A*/A grades!

At GIS our mission is to build brave, brilliant and inquisitive young people who are committed to the positive growth of themselves and others. Our exam results are one of many measures we use to see if we are meeting this mission and this year results have surpassed expectations across the board.
Our value added data again this year shows that, whatever the grade achieved, our students are performing above their expected attainment level and we know that there are factors in the teaching and learning, external to the students, that have contributed to the value. With that I’d like to thank our incredibly hardworking, dedicated teachers who really go above and beyond every day to give students a personalised experience. They care for every child coming through the door, challenging and supporting them and creating an environment in which they can truly thrive.
Thanks also goes to parents who are a central part of success for our students and our exam results are testament to strong partnerships built this year. And last but not at all least I’d like to thank our brave, brilliant and inquisitive students who have risen to every challenge, committed to being the best version of themselves and have shown not just academic growth but have grown at Garden to be well-rounded global citizens.

Having personally taught almost half of the class of 2022, I am so proud of their achievements. The phenomenal academic success and headline figures are testament to their drive, determination and desire to learn, and yet behind these results are even more inspiring stories of how these resilient students have overcome the adversity of the past years. These wonderful young individuals inspire and bring out the best in us, and it has been a privilege to be part of their narrative. We wish the class of 2022 well in their pursuit of happiness, health and professional progression. I personally look forward to hearing how the next chapters of their lives unfold.
