GIS Learning Experience

EYC
Early Years Foundation Stage

Nursery & Reception (3 - 5 years)

Our skilled practitioners take the time to truly understand each child, supporting their development in communication, motor skills and early mark-making. By building on their individual interests, we keep them engaged, curious and confident, gently guiding them to become independent learners as they explore the world around them.

Key Stage 2
Key Stage 1

Year 1 & 2 Curriculum

The first key stage supports children transitioning from Early Years into Primary School, continuing a fun and active approach to learning.

Learning is led by classroom teachers and assistants, with specialist teachers supporting Art, Music, ICT, and Physical Education. Students also learn Mandarin or Bahasa Malaysia and explore subjects such as Science, History, Geography, Design Technology, and Drama through an engaging Topic Curriculum grounded in Intercultural and Social Emotional Learning.

Key Stage 1
Key Stage 2

Year 3 to 6 Curriculum

Key Stage 2 builds on the foundations of Early Years and Key Stage 1, preparing students for the next stage of their education. English is taught daily with a focus on speaking, listening, reading, and writing, alongside mathematics that develops practical, mental, and applied skills.

In Years 5 and 6, students add French or Spanish to the World Languages programme while continuing or replacing their Asian language, with opportunities to explore additional languages through after-school clubs. Homework supports learning at home and encourages parent involvement.
