Accredited by the Council of International Schools, GIS is one of the oldest and most distinguished schools in Malaysia with two locations in Kuala Lumpur, the Early Years Centre in Desa Sri Hartamas and the main campus in Mont Kiara. GIS provides British-based education for students from 3 to 18 years of age across our Early Years Centre (Nursery to Reception), Primary School (Year 1 to Year 6) and Secondary School (Year 7  to Year 13).

The school has been teaching the National Curriculum for England and Wales with modifications designed to meet the needs of international students. With over 2,000 students, GIS is the biggest private co-educational school in Malaysia.

Garden International School (GIS) is in its 8th year of accreditation with the Council of International Schools (CIS). GIS selected CIS as its preferred accreditation body because we view CIS as the strongest accreditation body available to international schools. Accreditation with CIS both endorses and insures the quality of education provided by GIS while supporting our development and improvement planning process. GIS is a member of several prominent international education groups. We are part of the Schools Division of the Taylor’s Education Group and a member of FOBISIA. Garden International School (GIS) has been shortlisted for the British International School Initiative of the Year category of the TES Independent School Awards 2016. Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM)

Garden International School (GIS) is awarded the Primary Science Quality Mark (PSQM) in recognition of its quality of teaching and learning in science. Led by the University of Hertfordshire School of Education in partnership with the Primary Science Teaching Trust, PSQM is supported by the Royal Society for Chemistry, the Ogden Trust and the Association for Science Education. The PSQM scheme enables schools to work together to share good practice and is supported by professional development led by local experts. It encourages teacher autonomy and innovation while at the same time offering a clear framework for development in science subject leadership, teaching and learning.
