Working at GIS

Some of our teachers would like to let you know how they feel about working at GIS and living in Malaysia…

Garden International School (GIS) offers exceptional teaching opportunities for experienced professionals looking to live in Malaysia and work at one of the largest and most prestigious co-educational British international schools in the country.

Our schools are located in three locations: two in Kuala Lumpur, with an Early Years Centre and the main Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form campus, and a campus in Kuantan on the East Coast of Malaysia.

The two campuses each have their own unique feel: GIS Kuala Lumpur is a school with over 2,000 students and more than 60 nationalities, whilst GIS Kuantan has approximately 100 students and is expanding rapidly to serve the needs of the local community.

GIS gives both teachers and administrative staff in Kuala Lumpur and Kuantan the opportunity to develop their professional skills through ongoing training, whilst working with best-in-class ICT facilities and keen, enthusiastic students and parents.

With GIS’s commitment to a holistic education and our Student Vision, teachers play an active role in the co-curricular life of the school, enhancing both theirs and their students’ experience.

Our campuses are stimulating and spirited places for anyone looking for teaching opportunities in Kuala Lumpur or Kuantan.

All teaching applicants should possess a degree, hold qualified teacher status and have at least 2 years teaching experience. Contracts are two years renewable with expatriate package.
